Michael Chadwick, ATC Head Athletic Trainer |
Michael Chadwick begins his 15th year as Head Athletic Trainer for men's and women's athletics at the University of Montevallo. Chadwick came to UM after a three-year stint as an Assistant Athletic Trainer at Troy State University. Chadwick was also the Assistant Athletic Trainer for the Birmingham Barracudas of the Canadian Football League in 1995. A 1994 graduate of Troy State with a B.S. in Athletic Training, Chadwick is a native of Dothan, Alabama. A member of the National Athletic Trainers Association and the Alabama Athletic Trainers Association, he is also the Head Athletic Trainer for the Region III ODP Women's Soccer Program. Furthermore, Chadwick is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. He, his wife Shonda, and their three children Anna Beth, Becca Lee and Landry reside in Calera. |

Jennifer Kramer, ATC Associate Athletic

Jennifer Kramer enters her fifth year at the University of Montevallo as the Associate Athletic Trainer. Kramer serves as the Athletic Trainer for the Men's & Women's Soccer and Women's Basketball teams. Kramer came to the University of Montevallo in May 2006, after spending two years at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). During her stay at UAB, Kramer earned a Master of Arts degree in Exercise Physiology and worked as the Certified Athletic Trainer for the volleyball and women's tennis teams. Kramer, a native of LaGrange, Missouri completed her undergraduate work at Central Methodist University located in Fayette, Mo. and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Athletic Training with a Minor in Biology. |

Marcelo Galafassi, ATC Assistant Athletic

Marcelo Galafassi
enters his second year at the University of Montevallo as the
Assistant Athletic Trainer. Galafassi serves as the Athletic
Trainer for the Volleyball and Baseball teams.
Galafassi came to the University of Montevallo in June 2010, after spending two years as the graduate assistant at Arkansas State University. Galafassi has been a Board Certified Athletic Trainer since December of 2008 and is also certified by the American Heart Association as a Professional Rescuer. He was the Certified Athletic Trainer for baseball at ASU for two seasons and graduated with a Master’s Degree in Exercise Science in May 2010. He was also an Approved Clinical Instructor for students in CAATE at ASU which is an accredited Athletic Training program. Prior to ASU, he spent four years at Lincoln Memorial University where he was a two-sport athlete in tennis and soccer. He helped lead the soccer team to an NCAA Division II National Championship game appearance and was named Second Team All-Region by Daktronics in 2007. In 2006, he helped the soccer team achieve a NCAA Division II Final Four appearance as well. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training in 2008 from LMU. He was named the 2007-08 LMU Athletic Training Student of the Year. |
