MONTEVALLO, Ala. – Sophomore second baseman Will Fulmer (Palm Harbor, Fla./East Lake) of the University of Montevallo baseball team (25-28) was named Daktronics Second Team All-Southeast Region. This is Fulmer’s second, Second Team All-Region selection this season after being named Second Team by the NCBWA.

MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The University of Montevallo men’s and women’s cross country teams will host the Second Annual Early Bird Classic Saturday, September 1. The race is open to middle school and high school teams. There will be six different races including middle school girls (3K), middle school boys (3K), high school girls (4A-6A) (5K), high school boys (4A-6A) (5K), high school girls (1A-3A) (5K) and high school boys (1A-3A) (5K).

MONTEVALLO, Ala. – Sophomore second baseman Will Fulmer (Palm Harbor, Fla./East Lake) and senior first baseman Heath Peterson (Phenix City, Ala./Chattahoochee Valley C.C.) of the University of Montevallo baseball team (25-28) were honored by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association. Fulmer was named Second Team All-Region while Peterson received an Honorable Mention.

MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The University of Montevallo women’s volleyball head coach Katie O’Brien announced the signing of four recruits for the 2012 season. Carissa Bell, Jessica Falletta, Rebekah Phelps and Anna Quinn will all be a part of O’Brien’s fifth season at the helm of the Falcon volleyball program.

AUGUSTA, Ga. – The University of Montevallo men’s golf team was awarded one spot on the Peach Belt Conference All-Academic Team while one golfer was given an Honorable Mention. Senior Aaron Ebert (Huron, Ohio/St. Mary's Central Catholic) was named to the All-Academic Team while junior Mariano Lepori (Posadas, Argentina) was given an Honorable Mention. This was Ebert’s second-straight selection to the All-Academic team while Lepori receives his second Honorable Mention.
