DAHLONEGA, Ga. The University of Montevallo womens basketball team (2-0) traveled to North Georgia College and State University to take part Chick-fil-A Tip-off Classic. The Falcons took on defending Sunshine State Conference Champion Rollins College (2-1) and downed the Tars 56-38. The Falcons were led by seniors Manal Cali (Northampton, England/Northampton School for Girls) and Alicia Lewis (Youngsville, La./Comeaux) who each scored a team-high 10 points.

MONTEVALLO, Ala. The University of Montevallo Student-Athlete Advisory Committee sponsored a Coaches versus Student-Athletes Kickball Game to raise money for Make-A-Wish Foundation. The event also featured a pie-in-the-face auction in which athletes, coaches and spectators could bid to pie a coach or administrator in the face. Each coach and student-athlete who played in the game had to donate $5 to Make-A-Wish.

MONTEVALLO, Ala. The University of Montevallo mens basketball team (1-0) opened up the season with a dominating 107-79 win at home over Southeastern Bible College (0-3). The Falcons had eight scorers in double figures and had all 13 players in the game score at least one point. The Falcons were led in scoring by senior Freddy Little (Raleigh, N.C./Bunn) who had 14 points to go along with five assists. Senior Mark Plaza (San Diego, Calif./Chula Vista) dished out a game-high 10 assists while scoring eight points as well.

MONTEVALLO, Ala. - The University of Montevallo womens basketball team (1-0) picked up a huge win in its season opener against 2009 NCAA Tournament participant Clark Atlanta University (0-1). The Falcons were in control throughout the entire game as they held a comfortable lead most of the first and second half. The Falcons were led by junior Carrie Parrott (Murfreesboro, Tenn./Siegel) who scored 18 points and ripped down seven rebounds to lead the Falcons in both categories.

AIKEN, S.C. The University of Montevallo women's volleyball team (20-13, 8-6 PBC) was awarded two players on the All-Peach Belt Conference Teams. Senior Katy Handrick (De Pere, Wisc./De Pere) was named First Team All-PBC while sophomore Anna Garrison (LaVergne, Tenn./LaVergne) picked up a Second Team nod.
