HUNTSVILLE, Ala. The University of Montevallo baseball team (6-16) fell on the road to the University of Alabama-Huntsville (12-5) 7-6 in 10 innings. The Chargers were able to load the bases in the tenth and a walk allowed the go ahead run to be scored with two outs. UM was led by senior Chris Sosebee (Warrior, Ala./Sumiton Christian) who went 3-for-4 at the plate with an RBI.

MONTEVALLO, Ala. The University of Montevallo womens tennis teams match with the University of Mobile has been rescheduled due to the threat of inclement weather tomorrow. The Falcons were originally scheduled to play Mobile tomorrow afternoon (March 10) at Marion Military Institute. The match has now been moved to March 29 and will be played on campus at the University of Montevallo.

NEW ORLEANS, La. - The University of Montevallo womens cross country team under the direction of head coach Michael Marquardt was named to the USTFCCCA NCAA Division II Womens Cross Country All-Academic Teams list for the 2009 season. Sophomore Ginny Davis (Madison, Ala./Bob Jones) was named a USTFCCCA 2009 Division II Cross Country All-Academic Honoree.

MONTEVALLO, Ala. For the fifth time in the past seven years the University of Montevallo mens basketball team (23-7) and head coach Danny Young will head to the NCAA Division II Mens Basketball Tournament. The Falcons earned an at-large bid to the 2010 NCAA Southeast Regional Tournament in Augusta, Ga.

AIKEN, S.C. The University of Montevallo mens basketball team (23-7) dropped a hard-fought Peach Belt Conference Tournament Championship game to USC Aiken (19-10) on the Pacers home court, 65-60. The Falcons were led by All-Tournament team members Freddy Little and Tauras Dortch. Little led all scorers with 20 points while Dortch had 10.
