Norman Named to the All-South Region Second Team

MONTEVALLO, Ala. - Senior Ryan Norman (Hoover, Ala./Hoover) of the University of Montevallo baseball team was awarded a spot on the Daktronics All-South Region Second Team. This is Norman's first All-Region selection of his career.

Norman joins the ranks of number of Montevallo greats who were named to the All-Region squads during their career including the most recent selections J.D. Pruitt (2006-07) and Daniel Tankersley (2006-07) who were named First Team two seasons ago.

Norman led the team in batting average (.412), homeruns (7), slugging percentage (.618), fewest strikeouts with over 100 at bats (21), on-base percentage (.506) and putouts (245). He also led the GSC in base stealers caught with 28. The only other catcher on the All-South Region squads was senior Brandon Graves from No. 1 Southern Arkansas University.
