MONTEVALLO, Ala. The University of Montevallo baseball team (6-18, 0-8 PBC) dropped a pair of conference games to 6th-ranked Columbus State University (18-2, 2-0 PBC) 8-4 and 12-9. The Falcons were led by senior Kevin Garcia (Vega Baja, Puerto Rico/Dunedin) who went 4-for-7 with two homeruns, three runs scored and three RBI. Senior Chris Sosebee (Warrior, Ala./Sumiton Christian) led the Falcons in RBIs with four as he went 4-for-9 with a double, a homerun and a two runs scored.

MONTEVALLO, Ala. The University of Montevallo baseball teams series opener with No. 6 Columbus State University has been rescheduled due to the threat of inclement weather today and field conditions. The Falcons were originally scheduled to play CSU this afternoon (March 12) at 3 p.m. The game has been moved to Sunday, March 14 at 1 p.m. Tomorrows doubleheader will be played as originally scheduled at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m.

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. The University of Montevallo baseball team (6-16) fell on the road to the University of Alabama-Huntsville (12-5) 7-6 in 10 innings. The Chargers were able to load the bases in the tenth and a walk allowed the go ahead run to be scored with two outs. UM was led by senior Chris Sosebee (Warrior, Ala./Sumiton Christian) who went 3-for-4 at the plate with an RBI.

AMERICUS, Ga. The University of Montevallo baseball team (6-14, 0-5 PBC) dropped a pair of conference games to Georgia Southwestern State University (8-4, 2-0 PBC) 17-8 and 10-1. The Falcons were led by senior Kevin Garcia (Vega Baja, Puerto Rico/Dunedin) who went 4-for-8 with an RBI and two runs scored. Freshman Austin Dubberly (Helena, Ala./Pelham) led the Falcons in RBIs with three as he went 2-for-8 with a double and a run scored.

MONTEVALLO, Ala. The University of Montevallo baseball team (6-11, 0-3 PBC) dropped its fourth-straight game and third-straight to USC Aiken (8-6, 3-0 PBC), 15-4. The Falcons jumped out to a 2-0 lead after the first two innings but allowed Aiken to score 15-straight runs including 10 in the fourth before they answered with two more in the eighth. UM was led by senior Chris Sosebee (Warrior, Ala./Sumiton Christian) who went 2-for-4 at the plate with a run scored.
