Humphrey and Brown Named to Preseason All-GSC Squad

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Senior guard Terrill Humphrey (St. Augustine, Florida) and junior forward Anthony Brown (Birmingham, Alabama) of the University of Montevallo men's basketball team were named to the Preseason All-Gulf South Conference East Division Team. Humphrey and Brown led last year's UM team to a 12-16 finish with Humphrey ending the season ranked third in the conference in scoring.

Humphrey returns for his senior season after being named First Team All-GSC last year. He averaged 18.4 points per game to lead the team while Brown came in second with 10.9.

Brown led the squad in rebounds with 7.1 per game and will look to lead a new look Falcons team back to conference and national supremacy this season.

Montevallo is one of three teams that has more than one player on the East Division squad while Brown is the only non-senior on either team.

Humphrey, Brown and the rest of the Falcons will begin play on Nov. 1 as they travel to Starkville, Miss. for an exhibition contest with Division I foe Mississippi State University.
