Falcons Continue to Climb in Most Recent NABC Division II Coaches Poll

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The University of Montevallo men's basketball team (11-0, 1-0 PBC) moved up four spots in the sixth weekly National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) national poll, improving to 15th nationally. The rankings are based on games through January 3.

The Falcons recently set the school record for the best start in program history with 11-straight wins. UM's 11-0 start bested the 2005-06 squad which started 10-0 and finished 29-5. The 11-0 start is also the second best start in Peach Belt Conference history just behind the 2006-07 Clayton State squad that started 17-0. Montevallo joins No. 3 Augusta State as the current PBC representatives in the national poll.

Montevallo will be traveling to Georgia Southwestern State University (4-7, 0-1 PBC) on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. for a PBC match-up.
