Little Named to PBC Preseason All-Conference Team
AUGUSTA, Ga. - Senior guard Freddy Little (Raleigh, N.C./Bunn) of the University of Montevallo men's basketball team was named to the Peach Belt Conference Preseason All-Conference Team as selected by the coaches. He becomes the first Montevallo men's basketball player to earn an honor from the PBC.
Little brings impressive credentials to the Peach Belt Conference as Montevallo begins their first year in the league after moving from the Gulf South Conference. Little was named First Team All-GSC a season ago. He was the Falcons leading scorer last season averaging 15.7 ppg. He led the conference in made three pointers with 75 averaging 2.5 threes per game. He was fourth in the GSC in scoring and ninth in free throw percentage. He had nine games with 20 or more points and had a season-high 40 points at home against the University of West Georgia.
Little is joined on the team by senior Ben Madgen from Augusta State, senior Fred Brathwaite from Augusta State, senior Chris Rawls from Georgia Southwestern State and senior Graham Martin from Georgia College and State.
The Falcons will begin their 2009-10 campaign with an exhibition road contest at the University of Alabama on Nov. 4 at 7:30 p.m.
