Henderson Named PBC Men’s Golfer of the Week

AUGUSTA, Ga. – Senior Jon Henderson (Rainsville, Ala./Plainview) of the University of Montevallo men’s golf team was named Peach Belt Conference Men’s Golfer of the Week. This is the first PBC Golfer of the Week honor for both the team and Henderson.

Henderson won the first tournament his career and helped the Falcons to their first victory of the season at the West Georgia Invitational. The senior shot back-to-back rounds of 74 to finish at 148, four over par, to capture medalist honors by one stroke over West Georgia’s Zach Lassetter.  Henderson’s effort helped UM to their third-lowest team round of the season as the Falcons held off UWG to win by two.  He is one of two Falcons to post a top-five this season and the result was his second top-10.

The Falcons will return to action this weekend at the Lander Bearcat Invitational in Greenwood, S.C.
