Cash and Ebert Named Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholars
NORMAN, Okla. – The University of Montevallo men’s golf team was awarded two players on the Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholars list released by the Golf Coaches Association of America. Senior Tripp Cash (Troy, Ala./Pike) and sophomore Aaron Ebert (Huron, Ohio/St. Mary's Central Catholic) were among 55 Division II golfers given this distinction.
To be eligible for Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar status an individual must be a junior or senior academically, compete in at least two full years at the collegiate level, participate in 70-percent of his team’s competitive rounds or compete in the NCAA Championships, have a stroke-average under 78.0 and maintain a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.2.. A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at his college or university.
Cash holds a 3.87 GPA in accounting at Montevallo while Ebert has a 3.79 GPA in accounting as well. Cash finished the 2009-10 season with a 76.5 stroke average with two top-10 finishes and a season-low round of 72. Ebert completed the 2009-10 season with a 76.2 stroke average and one top-10 finish. His lowest round of the season was a 69.
