Three Falcons Named Senior Elite Winners

MONTEVALLO, Ala. – Three University of Montevallo senior athletes were named recipients of the UM Senior Elite Awards. Senior Elite is a prestigious honor, generally bestowed upon a graduating senior with the highest GPA in his or her particular field of study. They are typically a department’s most-outstanding student. Men’s golfer’s Gonzalo Gambertoglio (Cordoba, Argentina/Instituto General San Martin) and Mariano Lepori (Posadas, Argentina) and women’s volleyball setter Anna Garrison (LaVergne, Tenn./LaVergne) were among the 39 award winners.

Gambertoglio was named the recipient for marketing. He has a 3.969 and is scheduled to play his senior season this spring for the men’s golf team. Lepori was named the recipient for management. He has a 3.80 GPA and will be competing for the men’s golf team this spring. Garrison was named the co-recipient for communication studies. She has a 4.00 GPA and just finished her senior season for the volleyball team this fall.
