MONTEVALLO, Ala. – Three University of Montevallo senior athletes were named recipients of the UM Senior Elite Awards. Senior Elite is a prestigious honor, generally bestowed upon a graduating senior with the highest GPA in his or her particular field of study. They are typically a department’s most-outstanding student. Men’s golfer’s Gonzalo Gambertoglio (Cordoba, Argentina/Instituto General San Martin) and Mariano Lepori (Posadas, Argentina) and women’s volleyball setter Anna Garrison (LaVergne, Tenn./LaVergne) were among the 39 award winners.

PINEVILLE, Ky. – The University of Montevallo men’s golf team finished 10th at the Lincoln Memorial University Invitational in Pineville, Ky. The Falcons were led by senior Aaron Ebert (Huron, Ohio/St. Mary's Central Catholic) who shot a two-round score of 147 which is just three over par. He finished tied for 11th overall and shot a low round even par 72 on the first day of competition.

DESTIN, Fla. – The University of Montevallo men’s golf team wrapped up play in Destin, Florida at the Indian Bayou Classic. The Falcons played one of its best tournaments in recent history as the team did not have one round over 78. Senior Gonzalo Gambertoglio (Cordoba, Argentina/Instituto General San Martin) led the way with a two-round score of 145 which was just one stroke over par. Gambertoglio had a second round score of 69 which is three under par and the lowest round shot so far this season by a Falcon. He finished tied for eighth place overall.

DESTIN, Fla. – The University of Montevallo men’s golf team is currently sitting in third at the Indian Bayou Classic after a first round team score of 302. The field features 16 teams including Peach Belt Conference foe Columbus State University who is currently tied for seventh and four strokes behind the Falcons. UM was led by senior Aaron Ebert (Huron, Ohio/St. Mary's Central Catholic) and junior Andrew Lowry (Decatur, Ala./Wallace State C.C.) in the first round as they each shot a two-over par 74. They are currently tied for ninth overall.

CALERA, Ala. – The University of Montevallo men’s golf team hosted the Full Moon Bar-B-Que Montevallo Intercollegiate at Timberline Golf Course in Calera, Ala. The Falcons split into two squads to compete in the event and finished third and fifth out of the six team field. Junior Andrew Lowery (Decatur, Ala./Wallace State C.C.) led the Falcons finishing third overall with a two-round score of 143 which was just one over par.
