Esser will return for his second season as a Falcon and will compete for time as a goalkeeper. He is a transfer to UM from Ohio Northern University.

2008... Played in and started 19 games... named GSC Defender of the Week... member of the GSC All-Tournament Team... conceded 20 goals, a rate of just over one goal per game... finished the season with 14 wins making 49 saves in the process.

2007... Competed in 11 matches and started in nine matches for ONU... posted a 5-4 record with three shutout victories.

High School... All-State and All-Metro selection while competing at Oak Mountain High School... two-time Lakeshore Shootout All-Tournament Team... member of team that won the Alabama 6A State Championship in 2005 and 2007... competed with the Valley Futbol Club for one season and the Vestavia Hills Soccer Club for three seasons... member of teams that won three state championships.

Personal... Has a sister, Katie... a finance major at UM, he is the son of Randy and Carolyn Esser.
