A Pair of Second Half Goals Lift Falcons over Hurricanes, 2-0
MONTEVALLO, Ala. - The University of Montevallo men's soccer team (7-5-1, 3-3-0 PBC) evened out its conference record with a 2-0 win over Georgia Southwestern State University. The Falcons used two second half goals to down GSW.
The Falcons and Hurricanes played a scoreless first half with neither team getting much of an edge as the Falcons ended the half with a 4-2 advantage in shots.

The Falcons struck first in the 63rd minute as sophomore Phil Jackson (Lincolnshire, England/Queen Elizabeth's) fed MilanPualic (Subotica, Serbia/Srednja Ekonosmka Skola School) the ball on the left side of the penalty box. Pualic fired a rocket past the keeper to net his second game-winning goal-in-a-row.
Just 12 minutes later junior Daniel Pelletier (Crestwood, Ky./South Oldham) scored his first goal of the season as he headed in a cross from Pualic.
Junior Robert Mueller (Kileen, Texas/Kileen) was forced to only make one save in the shutout victory as he improved his record to 7-5-1.
The Falcons return to action Wednesday, Oct. 21 at 5:00 p.m. as they host North Georgia College and State University in a Peach Belt Conference match-up.
