Foster Named PBC Player of the Week


AUGUSTA, Ga. - Junior forward Nathaniel Foster (Brampton, Ontario/Humberview Secondary School) of the University of Montevallo men's soccer team (9-5-1, 5-3-0 PBC) was named Peach Belt Conference Player of the Week. This is the first PBC Player of the Week honor for both the team and Foster.

Foster scored three times in two Falcon wins on the week. He opened up the week with two goals against North Georgia including the game-winner. He scored the go-ahead goal in the 81st minute of the game and then added an insurance goal just eight minutes later to put the Falcons up 3-1. He then scored the opening goal of UM's 2-1 upset win at Lander, handing the Bearcats their first PBC loss of the season. Foster now ranks third in the conference in points and points per game and ranks fourth in goals and goals per game.

Foster and the rest of the Falcons return to action tomorrow, Oct. 29 at 2:00 p.m. as they travel to Shorter College.
