Falcons Ranked 21st in NSCAA National Poll

KANSAS CITY, Kan. – The University of Montevallo men’s soccer team (8-2-2) reentered the NSCAA National Poll at 21 after falling out of the top-25 Sept. 20. The Falcons are now ranked 21st in the nation and third in the Southeast Region according to the NSCAA. The Falcons began the season ranked 19th in the nation.

The Falcons are currently in the midst of a 397 minute opponent scoreless streak. UM has not allowed a goal since Sept. 24th against North Georgia. The Falcons need just 117 more minutes of shutout soccer to tie the current UM record set back in 2007. The past two shutouts were against top-15 programs. UM began the week with a 1-0 shutout at home against #13 Clayton State University. The Falcons then traveled to #11 Lander University and won 2-0.

UM is the only Peach Belt Conference team ranked in the top-25. Flagler College who has been previously ranked this season is receiving votes.

The Falcons return to this afternoon as they take on Lincoln Memorial University on the road at 2 p.m.
