Falcons Earn Bid to NCAA Tournament

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The University of Montevallo men’s soccer team (12-4-4) was selected as the No. 5 seed in the Southeast Region and will travel to the No. 4 seed Mars Hill College. The Falcons are one of just 32 teams nationwide to be selected to the Tournament. UM will play its first match Wednesday at 6 p.m. against Mars Hill.

The winner of the UM versus MHC match will move on to face the No. 1 seed Coker College at Coker on Friday. The Championship match is scheduled for Sunday.

This is the Falcons sixth trip to the NCAA Tournament. UM is 2-3-3 all-time in NCAA Tournament competition and have advanced as far as the National Semifinals in 2007.

Peach Belt Conference foe Flagler College was selected as the No. 2 seed and will face the winner of the No. 3 seed versus No. 6 seed match. Anderson University was selected as the No. 3 seed while Lees-McRae was selected sixth.
