Eyo and Ledgeway Named to NSCAA All-Southeast Region Second Team

MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The University of Montevallo men’s soccer team (12-5-4) was awarded two spots on the 2011 NSCAA Men's NCAA Division II All-Southeast Region Teams. Senior midfielder Tyson Eyo (Liverpool, England/Florida Tech) and sophomore goalkeeper Brendan Ledgeway (York, England/All Saints) were named Second Team All-Southeast Region This is the first NSCAA selection for both Eyo and Ledgeway.

Eyo was named Second Team All-Peach Belt Conference this past season. He ended the 2011 campaign tied for second on the team in assists (4) and sixth in goals (3). He has started all 21 games for the Falcons in the midfield and was one of the go-to players for free kicks for UM.

Ledgeway was named First Team All-PBC this past season. He ended the season first in the PBC in goals against average (0.85) and second in saves (71) and save percentage (.798). He had 11 shutouts this past season which led the conference and he broke the UM Record for longest shutout streak midway through the season with 529 consecutive minutes of shutout soccer.
