Lewis Named Third Team All-Conference
AIKEN, S.C. - Senior Alicia Lewis (Youngsville, La./Comeaux) of the University of Montevallo women's basketball team (14-13) was named Third Team All-Peach Belt Conference for the 2009-10 season. This is Lewis' second All-Conference award after she was named First Team All-Gulf South Conference last season. This is the first PBC All-Conference award for the women's basketball program.
Lewis averaged 11.4 points per game this season as she led the Falcons in scoring. She also led the team in steals and was second in assists. She tied the Montevallo single-season NCAA record for three-pointers with 66. She ranks 15th in PBC in scoring, 11th in three-point percentage, fourth in three-pointers made and 10th in assist/turnover ratio.
Lewis ends her career as a two-time All-Conference award winner in just two seasons at Montevallo. She is also one of the most durable players as she ranks in the top 10 in the PBC in minutes played.
