Falcons Awarded Two Gulf South Conference Honors
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The University of Montevallo women’s golf team was awarded two honors by the Gulf South Conference. The Falcons were honored with the GSC Freshman of the Year and awarded a spot on the All-Gulf South Conference First Team.

Falcons Finish Third at GSC Championship
HOT SPRINGS, Ark. – The University of Montevallo women’s golf played in its final Gulf South Conference Championship finishing just two strokes out of second place with a team score of 652. The Falcons were paced by sophomores Emily Gibson (Toronto, Ontario) and Britney Martin (Fishers, Indiana) who finished tied for sixth with a two round score of 161. Freshman Emma Breen (Swindon, England) was just off their pace with a 162 and tied for 10th.

Falcons Finish 8th in Weather Shortened Agnes McAmis Memorial
GREENEVILLE, Tenn. – The University of Montevallo women’s golf team finished its final regular season tournament with an eighth place finish at the Agnes McAmis Memorial, hosted by Tusculum College. The team finished eighth out of 19 teams with sophomore Heather Mutton (Dunstable, England) leading the team, finishing tied for 19th, with a score of 83, out of a field of 96.

Gibson Finishes Tied for First at the Ann Rhoads Shootout
CALERA, Ala. – Sophomore Emily Gibson (Toronto, Ontario) of the University of Montevallo women’s golf team finished tied for first in the Gold Division of the Ann Rhoads Shootout hosted by Birmingham Southern College. The Gold Division consisted of teams from NCAA Division II, Division III and NAIA. Seven Division I squads competed as well and when ranked against all the competitors Gibson would have finished tied for third beating 40 D-I golfers.

Gibson Leads Falcons at Kiawah Island Intercollegiate Tournament
KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. – The University of Montevallo women’s golf team opened up its spring schedule with a 13th place finish at the Kiawah Island Intercollegiate Tournament, hosted by Tusculum College. The team finished 13th out of 17 teams with sophomore Emily Gibson (Toronto, Ontario) leading the team finishing tied for 19th out of a field of 84.

Falcons Finish Tenth at Flagler Fall Slam
ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – The University of Montevallo women’s golf team wrapped up its fall season with a tenth place finish at the Flagler College Fall Slam. The team finished 10th out of 20 teams and sophomore Emily Gibson (Toronto, Ontario) was the teams best individual finisher at 13.

Falcons Finish Third at Myrtle Beach Intercollegiate
LITTLE RIVER, S.C. – The University of Montevallo women’s golf team continued its impressive fall season taking third at the Lenoir-Rhyne/Myrtle Beach Intercollegiate. The Falcons outlasted 12 teams including host Lenoir-Rhyne University and Gulf South Conference member the University of West Georgia.

Falcons Down Three Ranked Teams and Earn Tournament Title
PACE, Fla. – The University of Montevallo women’s golf team withstood runs by No. 13 St. Edward’s and No.10 Northeastern State to earn the Bubba Watson Invitational Title by two strokes. It also marked the first victory over rival West Florida in program history.

PACE, Fla. – The University of Montevallo women’s golf team finished day one of the Bubba Watson Invitational in first place. The Falcons are leading three top-25 teams from last season’s National Golf Coaches Association Division II Poll.

Women’s Golf Breaks School Scoring Record
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The University of Montevallo women’s golf team played in a tri-match with Birmingham Southern College and Spring Hill College and broke the school scoring record by one stroke (626). The match was played at Highland Park in Birmingham.
