Falcons Finish 8th in Weather Shortened Agnes McAmis Memorial

GREENEVILLE, Tenn. - The University of Montevallo women's golf team finished its final regular season tournament with an eighth place finish at the Agnes McAmis Memorial, hosted by Tusculum College. The team finished eighth out of 19 teams with sophomore Heather Mutton (Dunstable, England) leading the team, finishing tied for 19th, with a score of 83, out of a field of 96.
The tournament was cut short due to snow showers and cold weather. The second and final round was scheduled to take place today (April 7).
Montevallo's number two finisher was freshman Emma Breen (Swindon, England) who came in tied for 23rd with a score of 84. Breen was closely followed by sophomore Emily Gibson (Toronto, Ontario) who came in 35th with score of 86. Sophomore Britney Martin (Fishers, Indiana) came in tied for 50th with a score of 88 and junior Laura Daugherty (Oak Mountain, Alabama) rounded out the scorers finishing 86th with a score of 103.
The final tournament of the spring schedule for the Falcons is April 19-20 as they travel to the Gulf South Conference Championships taking place in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
