Women’s Golf Receives 2010 PBC Sportsmanship Award

AUGUSTA, Ga. – The University of Montevallo women’s golf team has been awarded the Peach Belt Conference Women’s Golf Sportsmanship Award for 2009-10. The Peach Belt Conference Awards Program honors one team from each of the 12 participating championship sports following their championship season. The team selected is the one who best exemplifies the spirit of sportsmanship and conducts themselves with a high degree of integrity, character and class.

In June the conference will announce the PBC Institution of the Year Sportsmanship Award. Following the conclusion of all championship seasons each institutions points and rankings will be tallied and the winning institution named. 

Montevallo’s volleyball team was also named the PBC Volleyball Sportsmanship Award winner.
