Former Falcon Competing in CPGA Womens Championship
MONTEVALLO, Ala. – Former University of Montevallo women’s golf standout Morgan Bell (2005-08) is competing in the Canadian Professional Golfers’ Association Women’s Championship presented by Nike Golf.
While at Montevallo she finished fifth in the Gulf South Conference Championship as a senior as well as being named to the All-Tournament team. She was also named First Team All-GSC her senior year. She won her third medalist honor at the Natural State Golf Classic, hosted by Harding University in her final season at UM. Her second medalist honor came at the Lenoir Rhyne/Myrtle Beach Intercollegiate earlier in her senior year.
As a junior she claimed her first individual medalist honor at the Lenoir Rhyne/Myrtle Beach Intercollegiate. She was the top finisher for the Falcons in four spring tournaments, including finishing tied for eighth at the 2007 Gulf South Conference Championships. She posted four Top 10 finishes, including a pair of second place finishes at fall tournaments hosted by UM and Lincoln Memorial University.
As a sophomore, Morgan was the top finisher for the Falcons in four tournaments, including finishing tied for 12th at the Gulf South Conference Championships.
