Maxwell Named PBC Goalkeeper of the Week

AUGUSTA, Ga. - Freshman goalkeeper Alyssa Maxwell (Surrey, British Columbia/Semiahmoo) of the University of Montevallo women's soccer team (2-2-1, 0-0-1 PBC) was named Peach Belt Conference Goalkeeper of the Week. This is the first PBC Goalkeeper of the Week honor for both the team and Maxwell.

Maxwell got the start and played over 75 minutes as the Falcons shutout Alabama-Huntsville 4-0. The freshman made five saves as UAH took 12 shots in the game. Maxwell has been the starter in both of UM's wins this season and is currently second in the PBC in saves and fifth in save percentage.

Maxwell and the rest of the Falcons return to action tonight, Sept. 22 at 7:30 p.m. as they travel to No. 2 University of West Florida.
