Faculty and Staff Honored at Women's Soccer Match
MONTEVALLO, Ala. - The University of Montevallo women's soccer team honored a very special group of people before Tuesday nights match against the University of West Georgia. Coach Patricia Hughes selected the evening as women's soccer's Faculty and Staff Appreciation Night. Each member of the women's soccer team selected a faculty or staff member who has made an impact on them academically and personally this year or consistently throughout their time at Montevallo, and personally invited them to attend a pregame ceremony in their honor.
The University of Montevallo Cheerleading team cheered before forming a walkway for the nominated favorite faculty and staff members to walk down and receive a small token of appreciation from their nominating student-athlete.
Those recognized by the women's soccer team as favorite professors and staff members were:
Dr. Bagga - Professor of Biology, Chemistry, and Math Department nominated by Nicola Stolworthy and Jade Skillen
Dr. Batkie - Assistant Professor of English nominated by Michaela Moertzsch
Dr. Bawden - Assistant Professor Behavioral Sciences Department nominated by Alyssa Maxwell
Dr. Byrd - Professor Biology, Chemistry, and Math Department nominated by Ally Larese and Hayley Gant
Dr. Carson - Adjunct Faculty Member of the Behavioral Sciences Department nominated by Natalie Martineau
Michael Chadwick - Head Athletic Trainer and Assistant Athletic Director nominated by Denise Mannion
