Martineau Named to All-Southeast Region Third Team

MONTEVALLO, Ala. - The University of Montevallo women's soccer team was awarded one spot on the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA)/adidas All-Southeast Region Teams. Sophomore Natalie Martineau (Oakville, Ontario/Ecole Secondaire) was named to the Third Team. This is the first All-Southeast Region honor for any Montevallo women's soccer player after the Falcons moved to the region this season. The Falcons had two All-South Region Third Team members last season.

Martineau follows in the footsteps of Stacey Balaam (2005-08) and Adele Jackson (2005-08) who were named All-South Region Third Team last season.

Martineau led the Falcons with eight assists and was tied for second in goals with three. She was second on the team in shots and shots on goal. She was one of just three players to start every game for the Falcons this past season.

Martineau and the rest of the Falcons will return next season for their second season in the Peach Belt Conference. The Falcons made it all the way to the conference tournament title game in their first season in the PBC.
