Four Former Falcons Named to the GSC All-Time Women’s Soccer Team

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Four former Falcons from the University of Montevallo women’s soccer team were named to the Gulf South Conference All-Time Women’s Soccer Team. Stacey Balaam (2005-08) and Adele Jackson (2005-08) were named First Team All-Time while Adrianne Peters (1999-02) was named Second Team and Corey Gros (2005-08) was given an Honorable Mention.

Balaam, who currently serves as the women’s soccer assistant coach at Montevallo, was a three-time First Team All-GSC selection during her career. Jackson was one of just three players in GSC history to be named four times to the GSC First Team. Peters was a three-time All-GSC First Team selection and was the first women’s soccer player at UM to be named an Academic All-American. Gros was also an Academic All-American and was a three-time All-GSC selection including two first team selections.

The University of West Florida led the conference in selections with 14 while Christian Brothers University had 10. UM and Lincoln Memorial tied with four each as the two members who are no longer part of the Gulf South Conference.
