Rosato Named to All-Southeast Region Third Team
MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The University of
Montevallo women’s soccer team was awarded one spot on the
National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA)/adidas
All-Southeast Region Teams. Senior Kristin
Rosato (Pinson, Ala./Clay-Chalkville) was named to the
Third Team. Rosato becomes just the second player in UM history to
be named to the All-Southeast Region teams since joining the
Falcons moved to the Peach Belt Conference and the Southeast Region
in 2009.
Rosato played in all 18 games for the Falcons this season and
served as the team captain. She was named Second Team All-PBC this
past season. She led the Falcon defense helping capture one shutout
and holding opponents to 1.68 goals per contest. Her versatility
allowed her to play all over the field including starting one game
at forward. She has been part of the UM squad for five seasons and
started since she stepped foot on campus in 2007. She holds the UM
record for games played in a career with 80. She is also a standout
in the classroom being named a Bronze Scholar on the PBC
Presidential Honor Roll last season.
