Falcons Fall on the Road, 4-0

COLUMBUS, Ga. – The University of Montevallo women's soccer team (5-11-1, 2-6-1 PBC) fell on the road at Columbus State University (13-3-2, 7-2-1 PBC), 4-0. UM had just three shots in the match and two came from sophomore Christine Prince (Ajax, Ontario/Pickering). Junior goalkeeper Alyssa Maxwell (Surrey, British Columbia/Semiahmoo) faced 22 total shots including 14 on goal while making nine saves.

Kiana Nicholson scored the first three goals for the Cougars all of which came in the first half. She scored in the fourth, 26th and 33rd minutes of the game. The final CSU goal came at the 84:00 mark as Jackie Ellis scored for the Cougars.

The loss along with Georgia College's win over USC Aiken officially ends the Falcons run for postseason play.

The Falcons will return to action Saturday, Oct. 29 at 12:00 p.m. as they travel to Georgia Southwestern State University for their season finale.
