MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The University of Montevallo women's soccer team will host its annual "Think Pink" match Oct. 27 against visiting Young Harris College in its final regular-season match at Varsity Field.
The match will begin at 1 p.m.
"We want to raise awareness amongst our student body and show support for all families affected, while spreading the message of education and prevention," said Montevallo women's soccer coach Patricia Hughes.
"Think Pink" t-shirts with a pink Montevallo Falcons logo on the front will be available the day of the match for $10 with proceeds benefitting the Susan G. Komen Foundation. All breast cancer survivors in attendance and family members that have been affected by the disease indirectly will be honored at halftime.
The women's soccer team will also host its annual Breast Cancer Awareness luncheon at the conclusion of the match.
"We want to make this event bigger and better than last year," said Montevallo head coach Patricia Hughes. "We are inviting everyone to help us with this. We hope all of you will help and join us for this great event."
The "Think Pink" match will also feature Senior Day activities.
