Jeremy Hampton was named the Montevallo women's soccer program's third head coach in its 17-year history April 12, 2013.

Hampton helped coach the Peach Belt Conference Freshman of the Year and All-Peach Belt Conference selection during the 2012 season as an assistant coach at Montevallo, his first at the school.

Hampton focused on defense as an assistant coach, helping guide the Falcons to three shutouts during the season.

Hampton also served as an assistant women’s soccer coach at the University of Alabama from 2005-08. While at UA he recruited players throughout North America including Alabama, Canada, Florida, Georgia, New Jersey, Ohio and Texas. He coached the 2007 SEC Freshman Goalkeeper of the Year and had his goalkeepers produce the fourth, fifth and 10th highest save percentages in UA program history. He helped reduce the goalkeepers GAA from 2.65 in 2006 to 1.49 in 2007.

He has also served as the goalkeeper coach for the Mississippi Storm a semi-professional team. He was the head goalkeeper coach for the Alabama Olympic Development Program from 2006-10. He was the head boy’s soccer coach at Hillcrest High School in 2005. The Hattiesburg High school boy’s soccer coach from 2004-05 and an assistant coach at Tuscaloosa Central High School for the boy’s soccer team from 1999-2003.

In 2011, Hampton served as the head girl’s soccer coach at Pascagoula High School in Pascagoula, Mississippi.

Hampton served as the head coach at PHS for just one season but improved the girl’s soccer team’s record from 4-10-2 in 2011 to 9-6-1. He served as the budget director of the team and implemented a study hall program to help improve the teams academic success.

Prior to PHS, Hampton served as the head women’s soccer coach at Marion Military Institute from 2008-11. He was the inaugural coach for the program. As the head coach of the program he was in charge of recruiting, budgeting and all team events.

Hampton is a 2002 graduate of the University of Alabama with a bachelor’s degree in history with a minor in political science. He went on to earn his State of Alabama Teaching Education certification from the University of West Alabama in 2003. He earned his master’s degree in human performance with an emphasis in sports management from the University of Alabama in 2010.
