Falcons Fall on the Road at North Alabama, 8-1

FLORENCE, Ala. - The University of Montevallo tennis team (1-1) took on the University of North Alabama in a non-conference match-up. The two teams will meet later on this season in a conference match. The Falcons fell 8-1.

The Falcons fought hard in all three doubles matches as UNA took all three 8-4. In the singles portion of the match sophomore Kelley Vaughn (Hoover, Alabama) was the only Falcon to pick up a victory as she won the No. 6 singles 6-0, 6-2.

The Falcons will now travel to Jackson, Miss. to compete in the Gulf South Conference East/West crossovers against Southern Arkansas, Arkansas Tech and Henderson State. The event will take place Feb. 20-21.
