Falcons Win Big During Trip to Georgia

MONTEVALLO, Ala. - The University of Montevallo tennis team (5-3) traveled to both Georgia Southwestern State University and Albany State University on Friday (March 27). The Falcons picked up a pair of victories while dropping just two matches the entire trip. They first took on GSW and won 7-2 before heading to Albany State and winning 9-0.

Junior Kristi Kelly (Tallahassee, Florida) freshman Helene Nordgreen (Bergen, Norway) and sophomore Kelley Vaughn (Hoover, Alabama) each earned 6-0, 6-0 sweeps throughout the weekend. Kelly and Vaughn won 6-0, 6-0 in No. 2 and No. 6 singles against ASU, respectively, while Nordgreen won 6-0, 6-0 in No. 3 singles against GSW.

The Falcons will next head to Stillman College on Wednesday, March 4 at 3:00 p.m.
