Kristi Kelly returns for her senior year for the University of Montevallo Falcons. In 2009 she played in the number two position for the Falcons and finished with an even record of 9-9 with a seven match winning streak. Kelly was paired with teammate Helene Nordgreen for 14 out of 18 matches in doubles and won 12 of those contests.
In 2008 Kelly finished the season at the number two singles
position but played most of the season at number three.
She was 7-10 as a singles player and 10-9 in doubles play.
She played most of the season as part of the number one
doubles. In 2007, Kristi competed mostly at number one
singles and doubles, earning in-region victories over Tuskegee,
Albany State, Fort Valley State and Southern Arkansas.
Kelly was named in the Top 50 in Florida, and was the recipient of
the Bright Future Scholarship. She played for Coach Mike Harrington
at Lawton Chiles High School. Kelly competed
at number one singles and the team qualified for the
state tournament all four years. She was also the recipient of the
team Scholar Athlete Award.
A speech pathology major at UM, she is the daughter of
Mark and Sue Kelly.
