Falcons Fall to No. 1 Armstrong Atlantic State. 9-0

SAVANNAH, Ga. - The University of Montevallo women's tennis team (0-1, 0-1 PBC) took on No. 1 Armstrong Atlantic State University (3-0, 2-0 PBC) on Sunday, February 14. The Falcons had a tough time against the number one ranked team in the country losing all nine matches. Senior Kristi Kelly (Tallahassee, Fla./Lawton Chiles) and freshman Amy McGucken (Selma, Ala./Morgan Academy) fought hard to win one game each. Kelly's win came against the 5th-ranked player in the country.

The Falcons unfortunately had to wait two extra days to begin their spring season in Savannah, Ga. after opening play against Tuskegee College was cancelled Friday, February 12 due to freezing weather.

The women's tennis team returns to action February 19 at Albany State.
