Rebecca Dowd returns for her third season with the Falcons. She will compete for playing time at as an outside hitter. 

2008: Appeared in 48 games... best match of the year was against Kentucky Wesleyan where she recorded 9 kills and hit .250... helped Montevallo to upset Arkansas Tech in the first round of the Gulf South Conference Volleyball Championship.

2007: Appeared in 31 matches, starting in 20 matches... collected season-best six kills against St. Martin's... had double figures in digs in four matches, including a season-best 17 at North Alabama... one of 11 Falcons named to Gulf South Conference Honor Roll. 

High School: First Team All-State selection at Providence Christian School... named to three All-Tournament teams... team captain... part of a team that competed at the Alabama 1A State Championships, advancing to Elite Eight in the 1A State Championships.

Personal: Also played basketball and soccer for her high school team... a Biology Major at UM, she is the daughter of John and Donna Dowd.
