Katie Johnson will compete in her fourth season with the Falcon volleyball program. She will compete for playing time as a right side hitter.

2008:  Played in 126 games...tallied 75 total blocks, third best on the team... averaged .60 blocks per game, third best on the team... tallied 294 total kills, third best on the team... hitting percentage of .250 which was the best on the team... ranked third on the team with 2.33 kills per game... tied for second on the team with 27 total aces... voted to the All-Tournament team at the Christian Brothers and Carson Newman Volleyball Tournaments... helped Montevallo to upset Arkansas Tech in the first round of the Gulf South Conference Volleyball Championship... posted four double-doubles (kills and digs) on the season... best match of the season was against Alabama-Huntsville when she recorded a season high 15 kills on a .481 hitting percentage, and a season high 5 block assists.

2007: Appeared in 38 matches... second on the team in kills and kills per game... second in total blocks... posted double figures in kills in 14 matches, including a season-best 16 against West Georgia... also collected season-best 15 digs against Arkansas-Monticello... had season-best eight blocks (one solo) against West Georgia.

2006: Appeared in 34 matches... finished second on the team in kills, third in kills per game, fourth in service aces and fourth in blocks per game... posted double figures in kills in nine matches, including a personal-best 23 against Converse College... also posted double figures in digs in nine matches, including a personal-best 16 against Christian Brothers... one of 11 Falcons to be named to the Gulf South Conference Honor Roll.

High School: Three-time All-State selection, named to the First Team as a senior at Thompson High School... also a two-time All-Metro Team selection, named to three Shelby County All-Tournament teams, Birmingham News Player of the Week, Birmingham News Scholar Athlete of the Week, team captain and team MVP.

Personal: Played for the Magic City Volleyball Club and Alabama Juniors... named team MVP of the FCCJ Volleyball Camp... A Mass Communications Major at UM, Katie is the daughter of Hope and Thomas Johnson.
