Kara Zawisza returns for her third season of competition with the Montevallo Volleyball program this fall. She will compete for playing time as an outside hitter.
2008: Kara saw playing time as mostly the UM libero... appeared in 127 games for the Falcons... recorded 20 matches with double digit digs... best match of season was against Christian Brothers where she recorded a season and career best 32 digs... helped Montevallo to upset Arkansas Tech in the first round of the Gulf South Conference Volleyball Championship.
2007: Appeared in 29 matches... fourth on team in kills per game and fifth in kills... double figures in kills in five matches and digs in four matches... posted a season-best 15 kills and 14 digs against West Georgia... Led the Falcons with 434 digs on the season.
High School: Competed for Saline High School where she was on the varsity for four years and named a team captain as a junior... First Team All-Conference selection and recipient of the Southeastern Conference Sportsmanship Award her senior season... her team qualified for the state quarterfinals for that season... As a junior, she was named Honorable Mention All-Conference, Second Team All-Area, voted team MVP and led the team in digs and kills.

team, where she was voted a team captain her senior season... a
member of the Gold Honor Roll at Saline... also competed for M
Juniors... a Graphic Design Major at UM, she is the daughter of
Wendy Kenyon and Steve Zawisza.
