Volleyball Set to Host Individual All Skills Summer Camp

MONTEVALLO, Ala. – Head coach Katie O’Brien of the University of Montevallo volleyball team has announced the Falcons will host a three day camp from June 9-11. The camp is open to all female athletes in grades 6-12. Coach O’Brien and her coaching staff provide an energetic and active camp for young players who are dedicated to developing the skills necessary to play volleyball.

Coach O’Brien is entering her third season of the Falcon Volleyball program. During her first year, she turned around the Falcon Volleyball program with 21 wins and the team returned to the Gulf South Conference Tournament for the first time in four years. Last season she once again coached the team to a postseason berth in the programs first season in the Peach Belt Conference. Coach O’Brien has developed tremendous athletes over her coaching reign and looks for UM to be one of the premier programs of the Peach Belt Conference in the coming years.

To register for the camp you will need to fill out the linked brochure located at the top of the page. Cost for a day camper is just $215 while a camper can stay overnight for just $45 more at $260. A late fee will be assessed for overnight campers who register after May 21. The price will go from $260 to $285. Also a group discount is available for teams that send eight or more players. If eight or more of your teammates attend the camp you will receive a $25 discount off your price for the camp.

All of the camp will be under the direction of Montevallo head coach Katie O’Brien. The camp will consist of the Falcon volleyball coaching staff, current and former Falcon players, and other collegiate and club coaches from around the area.
