Falcons Fall at Home against Flagler, 3-0

MONTEVALLO, Ala. - The University of Montevallo women's volleyball team (14-12, 4-6 PBC) fell 3-0 against Flagler College at home. The Falcons fell 25-18, 25-13 and 26-24.

UM was led by senior Katie Johnson (Alabaster, Ala./Thompson) who had nine kills and 10 digs along with three block assists. Senior CarsonAnderson (Chattanooga, Tenn./Baylor) had eight kills to finish second on the team.

Freshman libero Brittany Wilson (Floyds Knobs, Ind./Floyd Central) led the team in digs with 20 while sophomore Rachel Wotitzky (Punta Gorda, Fla./Charlotte) had eight.

Sophomore Anna Garrison (LaVergne, Tenn./LaVergne) was the setter for two sets and picked up 16 assists, two service aces and seven digs while freshman Betsy Stevenson (DeFuniak Springs, Fla./Walton) took over in the third set picking up 13 assists and six digs.

The Falcons will return to the court Friday, Oct. 23 at 5:00 p.m. as they travel to the Carson-Newman Tournament.
