Whitney Adkins will return for her second season with the University of Montevallo women's cross-country program.
2008... Adkins participated in four of the teams 5 races this season and placed her highest at the Augusta State Jaguar Invitational with 37th (30:12.90) in the team's only 6k competition... Adkins efforts this season helped her team to its first ever victory in the school's history, as well as its highest placing in the Gulf South Conference Championship (7th).
High School... Competed for coaches Brian Smith and Scott Wade at Heritage High School...twice named Runner of the Year in 2006 and 2007...named Most Valuable Runner in 2007 and Super Patriot two years in a row.
Personal... Has a brother, Kevin and a sister
Mackenzie...a psychology major at UM, she is the daughter of Carrie
and Charles Adkins.
