Katherine Schofield will return for her sophomore year and second season with the University of Montevallo women's cross-country program.

2008...In her first race as a Lady Falcon at the Delta State Invitational Schofield finished 5^th in a time of 20:26.50 and helped the team to its first ever victory in school history...Two weeks later at the Augusta State Jaguar Invitational Schofield finished 12^th (26:35.10) just behind her team mates Davis and Waters...Schofield finished 30^th and 28^th in the team's next two races and 32^nd (20:54.68) at the Gulf South Conference Championships in which the team placed highest in the school's history with 7^th place.

High School... three-sport varsity athlete at Brookwood High School...competed for coaches Chris Carter, Kelly Sowers and Lauren Shuster in cross-country and track along with Greg Puckett in swimming...named cross-country Athlete of the Month...also named Honor Graduate.

Personal... Named scholar athlete all four years in high school in cross-country, track and field and swimming...has two sisters, Margaret and Rosemary... a mass communications major at UM, she is the daughter of David and Pam Schofield.
