Glover Named PBC Runner of the Week
AUGUSTA, Ga. - Freshman Kaley Glover (Opelika, Ala./Beauregard) of the University of Montevallo women's cross country team was named Peach Belt Conference Runner of the Week. This is the first PBC Runner of the Week honor for both Glover and the cross country team.
Glover continued her outstanding freshman year with a ninth-place finish at the UAH Invitational. She was the top Division II runner in the field and led Montevallo to a fourth-place finish overall, ahead of 20th-ranked UAH, West Florida, Valdosta St., North Alabama and more. Her 19:54 time in the 5k is among the top five run in school history. In her two races at UM, both her times are among the top 10 ever. She is also the only PBC runner to have two sub-20 times in the 5k.
Glover and the Falcons return to the course Saturday, Sept 26 at 9 a.m. as they travel to the Mercer Invitational.
