Falcons Ranked Tenth in Region Preseason Poll

MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The University of Montevallo women’s cross country team is ranked tenth in the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Preseason Southeast Region Poll. UM finished sixth in last year’s NCAA Regional Championship and return all five of their top runners.

The Falcons are one of just five Peach Belt Conference teams ranked in the preseason poll. PBC foe Columbus State was picked to finish first in both the conference and the region. The next highest PBC team is Augusta State who is picked to finish fourth. Clayton State, Georgia College and Montevallo round out the top-10 in the eight, nine and ten slots.

The Falcons open up the season Sept. 11 at the Delta State University Invitational.
